Trisha Chavda Awarded Desh Ratna for Uplifting Rural Girls Through Sports and Education

Gandhinagar – In a moment of immense pride for Gujarat and the nation, Trisha Chavda, a student of Shri J.M. Kanya School and a passionate badminton player, has been honored with the Desh Ratna Award on 29 April 2025. The award recognizes her extraordinary efforts in empowering young girls in rural communities through sports and education.

Trisha, a resident of Gandhinagar, has emerged as a beacon of hope and change for underprivileged girls. Alongside her love for badminton and travel, she dedicates her time and energy to visiting nearby villages, mentoring girls who face barriers in accessing quality education and sports opportunities.

“My favorite sport is badminton, and I love exploring new places,” Trisha told Bharat News in an exclusive interview. “But beyond personal interests, I feel a strong responsibility to contribute to society, especially by supporting girls who don’t have the same opportunities.”

Her initiatives include providing guidance, mentorship, and even financial assistance to girls in need. Whether it’s helping with school supplies, sports training, or moral encouragement, Trisha is making a real difference where it matters most.

She attributes her passion and values to the strong support system built by her parents and school teachers. “I’m sincerely grateful to my parents and teachers. Their encouragement has shaped who I am and inspired me to give back to society,” she shared.

Trisha’s long-term vision is to represent India in sports and become a symbol of pride for the nation. Her determination and discipline are evident as she trains rigorously, aspiring to achieve excellence both on and off the field.

She also expressed heartfelt thanks to the Stairs Foundation, an organization that plays a pivotal role in providing rural youth with access to sports platforms. “Thanks to Stairs Foundation, many hidden talents like me are getting the support they need to grow and succeed,” she said.

Concluding her message, Trisha acknowledged the contribution of Bharat News in amplifying unheard voices. “I thank Bharat News for recognizing our work and bringing rural efforts to the spotlight. Their support means a lot to us,” she remarked.

With her Desh Ratna Award recognition on 29 April 2025, Trisha Chavda has not only made Gandhinagar proud but has also become a role model for youth-led transformation. Her journey is a powerful reminder of the change that can be sparked when young minds lead with purpose and heart.
