Renowned psychiatrist couple from Meerut, Dr. Ravi Rana and Dr. Ratnadeep Rana, have been honored with the prestigious "Desh Ratna Award

New Delhi , Apri 29, 2025 Renowned psychiatrist couple from Meerut, Dr. Ravi Rana and Dr. Ratnadeep Rana, have been honored with the prestigious "Desh Ratna Samman" at the national level. This award was presented in recognition of their dedicated service to rural, underprivileged, and marginalized communities, as well as for providing medical assistance and nurturing hidden talents. The award ceremony was held at the Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi and was attended by over 100 distinguished participants selected from across the country.

Event Organized Under Joint Aegis of Key Organizations
The ceremony was organized under the joint auspices of the Bharati Yuva Welfare Association and the Tourism Department of Jammu & Kashmir. Prominent guests at the event included Uttar Pradesh Labour Minister Raghuraj Singh, senior BJP leader Shyam Jaju, OBC Morcha National Co-Incharge Vinay Chaudhary, and film actors Surendra Pal Singh and Mustaq Khan.

Only Medical Couple Selected from Meerut
Dr. Ravi Rana and Dr. Ratnadeep Rana were the only medical couple from Meerut to be honored at the event. They were selected for their contributions to mental health awareness, medical services, and motivational efforts in rural areas. They operate the "Mahi Mind Centre" located in Mangal Pandey Nagar, which is Meerut’s first dedicated psychiatry and neurotherapy center.

From a Village to National Recognition
Dr. Ravi Rana was born in a small village in Baghpat district into a farming family. Despite facing challenging circumstances, he made a name for himself in the field of mental health and established the first psychiatric center in Meerut. Inspired by him, mental health services have expanded rapidly across Meerut and western Uttar Pradesh.
