It may be noted that on July 31, six people were killed in clashes in Nuh after a Vishwa Hindu Parishad procession, where Manesar was expected to reach. Six people, including two home guards and a cleric, lost their lives in the violence. A few days before the Nuh procession, a video purporting to include Manesar in the yatra went viral and allegedly sparked communal clashes in the city which later spread to Gurgaon and other areas.
As reported by NDTV, Manesar said that he did not attend the yatra on the advice of the VHP as he feared that his presence could create tension in the area. Haryana state police chief PK Aggarwal has said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) will be formed to probe Manesar's role in the clashes.
Manesar, 30, is wanted by the police in connection with the abduction and murder of two Muslim cattle-traders, Junaid and Nasir, in Bhiwani, Haryana.
